In Our Own Voice: Defining Masculine, Feminine, and Gender Through Journaling and Art as Process

Together we will explore cultural and familial narratives around what is masculine, what is feminine and definitions of gender. Utilizing journaling and creative processes, we will explore what masculine energy and feminine energy is for us, to us, and consciously define our own view on what this is and what this means to us and for us.

The hope is to bring clarity to what our own view is, how it developed, and to consciously create our own narrative around gender that we are in alignment with and supports our own self-identified values.

Please bring paper and pen (journal if you want) and if you are able to, creative supplies such as watercolor paints, or colored pencils and 3 to 5 magazines with images you like, or torn out images representing masculine and feminine energies, gender, male, female, etc. This can be people, animals, symbols, landscapes. Art supplies are optional and you can still fully participate in this workshop without them. Pen and paper are recommended.
